An error should lead to a traceable correction. A changed number can affect a calculation, scenario, comparison, and conclusion—not only the sentence where it first appeared.

What to include in an error report

Provide the page URL, the statement or result in question, its displayed date, and a source or reproducible example explaining the concern. For calculator issues, use fictional inputs and include the browser and approximate screen size.

Do not send account numbers, passwords, access tokens, private statements, or unnecessary personal information. A public reporting contact will appear here once supplied by the owner.

How a report is handled

  • Record the report and reproduce the calculation or compare the claim with its dated source.
  • Assess whether the error changes the decision, risk description, ranking, or interpretation; hold affected research while a material issue is unresolved.
  • Correct the source data and all dependent outputs, examples, FAQs, and conclusions. Recheck relevant tests and evidence.
  • For a material correction, show the date, affected claim, what changed, why it changed, and whether the conclusion changed. Retain an internal revision record.

Correction, update, or minor edit

A correction fixes an error in the earlier edition. An update adds information that became available later. A minor edit improves wording or presentation without changing meaning. Material corrections must not be hidden as routine updates.

Development review record

The local project retains the Day 8 editorial review and Day 10 engineering handoff. The stock drafts still have unresolved editorial findings. Their presence in the folder is not a claim that those findings have been fixed.

A public correction log will accompany published research when material corrections occur. We do not invent an empty history of completed reviews or promise a response time that has not been established.
